I love kid films, they are fun.  I especially love when kid films talk to kids, and about kids, like they are real people instead of kid’s-meal-gobbling, plastic-toy-purchasing consumers…I mean Sesame Street never did that.

So needless to say, I think the Toy Story franchise is brilliant.  I love how there are some toys I actually recognize (like Mr. Potato Head) and they gave them really distinct and memorable personalities. I admit that the films have shaped my trip down the toy aisle a little bit.

So Toy Story 3 is out and it is fantastic. Andy has gone off to college (as children eventually do) and the toys are stuck in a less than savory situation at a daycare.  An escape is planned and mayhem ensues… and that, is all I am going to tell you.

The beauty of Toy Story 3 is that it is out in 3D which makes the movie-going experience even better… I know right? Like that was possible?

Arbor Place Stadium 18 (near the mall) has Toy Story 3 in Disney Digital 3D (not sure how it differs from regular 3D but whatever…) five times a day.
