I don’t know about you, but I’m kind of hesitant to purchase eggs at the grocery stores right now. If you haven’t heard, there’s been a recall on eggs. This presents a perfect opportunity to buy eggs from local farmers by attending the Market at the Mill Farmers Market.
This farmers’ market takes place every Wednesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm through September 29. Local farmers will bring fresh produce from their gardens each week to sell to the community. Along with eggs, you will find homegrown fruits, vegetables, plants, herbs, flowers, homemade baked goods, jellies and jams, honey (did you know local honey can help combat allergies?) and cooking demonstrations.
Not only is the Market at The Mill is a place for social interaction and buying “fresh” for a healthy lifestyle, you can also find charming shops and restaurants all around. Dine in or take a meal to go and have a nice picnic on the grounds of the Mill, the weather seems to be cooling off by a couple degrees. A couple degrees may not seem like much, but with the hot summer we’ve had, it sure does help.
Preserve at Mirror Lake residents, have you been out to this? What’s your favorite part about it?
